Voicemail Overview

This voicemail solution is part of the in2tel phone system.

Our system is fully customisable to fit your organisation’s workflow. Whether forwarding calls to voicemail when an extension/user is unavailable, setting up failovers for ring groups or call queues, or offering customers an option to leave a message via IVR, the in2tel phone system ensures no call goes unanswered.

Voicemail Types

The system offers two distinct voicemail options:

  • Extension/user Voicemail: Voicemail for an individual extension/user.
  • Group Voicemail: Designed for teams, this feature allows multiple members to share the responsibility of reading and responding to voicemail messages. Group Voicemail is particularly useful for department-based organisations. For example, a Support team can have a shared voicemail box where customers leave messages, and any team member can access and respond to those voicemails.

With What Features can I use Voicemail?

Voicemail can be used in many situations including personal or group scenarios to stop calls from being missed:

  • Extension: Enable callers to leave a message when the extension user cannot answer.
  • Ring Group/Queue: Redirect to group voicemail if no agents are available or if the timeout is reached.
  • IVR (Interactive Voice Response): Offer customers the option to leave a voicemail message. If customers cannot obtain the information they need via the IVR, they can leave a message.
  • Any Inbound Calls: Provide a dedicated line to gather user feedback when immediate phone support is unnecessary.

How Much Storage and Capacity?

Each voicemail box comes with default settings that can be customised to suit your needs:

  • Message Length: Between 1 and 15 minutes. By default, the minimum message duration is 2 seconds, and the maximum is 10 minutes.
  • Mailbox Capacity: From 1 to 500 messages. The default maximum is set to 100 messages.
  • Storage Time: Unlimited. By default, there is no storage limit (set to 0).
